Wire wrapping embellishes the unakite gemstone donut with fancy Egyptian coils and glass beads on this handmade beaded necklace. The wire is 24 gauge gold over copper. Unusual mauve pink glass beads and green and gold Czech faceted glass beads are used in the necklace. At first glance the beads appeared to be cloisonne but once I found the light shone through them I realized they couldn't be anything but glass. The handmade beaded necklace is 18" (45.7 cm) long and fasted with a handmade hammered metal clasp made from non-tarnishing brass with a copper/gold color.
