Notes - Thai Hill Tribes Silver and Czech glass
|
Description
Cool tones are featured in this handmade beaded necklace. The Czech glass beads are aqua and have a crackled finish. They are mixed with iridescent green glass seed beads and handmade silver beads fashioned by the Hill Tribes people of Thailand. This type of silver is soft and has designs inscribed by the craftsmen. Each design is done only by one family. This type of silver does not polish to the hard gleam of regular silver because of the softness of the product but has a soft sheen all its own. The handcrafted beaded necklace is 18" (45.7 cm) long and is finished with a sterling silver S clasp.
